7.4 magnitude quake hits Alaska

Washington, July 16 : A 7.4-magnitude earthquake jolted 106 km south of Sand Point, Alaska at 0648 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 9.3 km, was initially determined to be at 54.38 degrees north latitude and 160.70 degrees west longitude.
