BJP’s Foundation Day To Be Mega Affair In UP
Lucknow, April 5: Following its historic win in the Assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Foundation Day on Wednesday will be a mega gala dotted with cultural activities, ‘shobha yatras’ and an address by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Party’s State General Secretary Anoop Gupta said here on Tuesday the day will start off with hoisting of the party flag at all the district and divisional offices of the state at 9 am. Then the Shobha Yatras will be taken out followed by the address by PM at 10 am, which all booth committees, Panna Pramukhs and party workers under all the blocks will attend on whatever devices available.
LED screens and other digital media have been installed in all block offices for party workers all over the state to collectively listen to the PM speech. On this occasion Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, state parrty president Swatantra Dev Singh, party State General Secretary (Organization) Sunil Bansal and other senior leaders will also be present.
Gupta said the Foundation Day ceremony will begin on April 6 and will continue till the birth anniversary of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar on April 14. The BJP will organise Samarsata Week and will organise blood donation camp, cleanliness campaign, fruit distribution work in hospitals, health check-up camps and drinking water arrangement in public places. He said all party workers will put up the party flag at their homes on the occasion of Foundation Day celebrations. All ministers, MPs/MLAs, party officials, officers of fronts, cells and departments will participate in the programs of their respective areas/districts.
