TVD’s Paul Wesley Comes Out In Support Of Ukrainians
Los Angeles, Feb 28: Popular American supernatural teen drama television series “The Vampire Diaries” actor Paul Wesley has commended the spirit of Ukrainians as they face a bitter attack by Russians led by Vladimir Putin.
“As the son of Polish immigrants who lived under a communist regime and the iron grip of the USSR, I commend the people of Ukraine for their heroics during this incredibly difficult time as their country is being invaded,” Wesley, who played one of the Salvator brothers, Stefan, posted on Instagram on Monday.
“This war is not waged by the Russian people themselves but by an unhinged regime that should be condemned by the entire international community. “All those who support democracy and freedom should unite against this unacceptable aggression and support Ukraine as much as possible in their fight for fending off this brutal attack. ” He also shared: “Please visit the link in my bio to find ways to help Ukraine.” And even quoted an excerpt from an article he read by Yuval Noah Harari: “The last few days have proved to the entire world that Ukraine is a very real nation, that Ukrainians are a very real people, and that they definitely don’t want to live under a new Russian empire.
The main question left open is how long it will take for this message to penetrate the Kremlin’s thick walls. “Wesley will be next seen in “Flowers in the Attic: The Origin” and he will also start shooting for the horror-thriller movie History of Evil along with “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” star Stephanie Beatriz soon.
