Chandigarh, Feb 3 : Actor and Gurdaspur MP Sunny Deol’s name has been included in the star campaigners’ list of the BJP for Punjab assembly elections scheduled for February 20, it was reported on Thursday. The list contains 30 names including Deol’s. The actor, who was elected as MP from Gurdaspur in 2019, has been conspicuous by his absence in Punjab’s political scene off lately. He is busy with shooting the sequel of his 2001 blockbuster Gadar, since in December last year. Punjab BJP president Ashwani Sharma, in an interview with an English daily, on Thursday said, ”He represents us in Parliament and is doing his job efficiently. He ensured funds for bridges in our area and carried out various programmes. He also attends party meetings regularly.”
