India Entered Into Final Of World Bridge Championship

Kolkata, April 9: India for the first time in 72 years have entered into the final of the World Bridge Championship, being played in Italy and now will face Poland in the summit clash, a report reaching here on Saturday said.
India’s senior team, represented by R Krishnan (captain), Ashoka Goel, Subrata Saha, Sukomal Das, Rajesh Dalal and Anil Padhey, put up an impressive performance to enter the final and would take on strong Poland in the title clash. According to a message received from coach of the team and former international Debasish Ray, India in the last four stage beat France to enter the summit clash for the first time since 1950. Earlier in the quarter final, India defeated strong contender USA, the report added. UNI
