LOTR: Rings Of Power Official Trailer Debuts At Super Bowl
Los Angeles, Feb 14 : At the Super Bowl, Prime Video dropped its very first official trailer for the upcoming “Lord Of The Rings: Rings of Power” series giving us a 60 second glimpse into the show. Set in the backdrop of the Second Age of Middle Earth, the show will feature stories from the Silmarilion and untold key chapters in the history of Arda such as the fall of Numenor, the forging of the rings of power and the rise of Sauron.
On Sunday, LOTR fans got a glimpse into a world set thousands of years before Peter Jackson’s “Lord Of The Rings” trilogy going back into the sweeping forests, the grand palaces of the Elves, and the mighty stone caves, halls and caverns of the Dwarves. The aesthetic matched by exceptional production quality really does take us back into the world of Middle Earth which is rife with beauty, excitement and danger with many stories to tell, balancing all the elements perfectly. Apart from the costly production, the trailer also featured a bombastic and epic score.
“The Rings of Power” will feature a massive ensemble cast, with some characters from Lord of the Rings, like Elrond (Robert Aramayo), Galadriel (Morfydd Clark) and the human warrior Isildur (Maxim Baldry) who cut the ring off Sauron’s finger in the war of the last alliance of elves and men. The show also stars Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Owain Arthur, Nazanin Boniadi, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Charles Edwards, Trystan Gravelle, Sir Lenny Henry, Ema Horvath, Markella Kavenagh, Joseph Mawle, Tyroe Muhafidin, Sophia Nomvete, Lloyd Owen, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith, Charlie Vickers, Leon Wadham, Benjamin Walker, Daniel Weyman, and Sara Zwangobani.
Amazon is leaving no stones unturned in the making of the show, spending $250 million on the rights for the adaptation alone and a whopping $462 million for the first season alone. The first season of “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” is set to debut on Amazon Prime Video on September 2
