Kerala State Film Awards: Revathi Best Actress, Biju Menon & Joju George Best Actors

 

Thiruvananthapuram, May 27 : Kerala Minister for Cultural Affairs Saji Cheriyan announced the 52nd Kerala State Film Awards here on Friday.
Actress Revathi bagged the Best Actress Award for her performance in the OTT-released film ‘Bhoothakalam.’
Actor Biju Menon and actor Joju George have shared the Best Actor awards for their performance in the film ‘Aarkkariyam’ and ‘Madhuram, Freedom Fight, Thuramukham and Naayaattu’ respectively.
The Best Director award went to celebrated film maker Dileesh Pothan fir his OTT film, Joji, a press release said.
The jury was headed by filmmaker and screenwriter Saeed Akhtar Mirsa. The list of other award winners is given below.

Best Singer (Male) – Pradeep Kumar (Raavil from Minnal Murali)
Best Lyricist – B K Harinarayanan (Kaadakam)
Best Character Actor – Sumesh Moor for Kala
Best Character Actress – Unnimaya Prasad for Joji
Best Film with Popular Appeal and Aesthetic Value – Hridhyam
Best Children’s Film – Kaadakalam
Best Story Writer – Shahi Kabeer for Nayattu
Best Screenplay Writer – Krishand RK for Avasavyuham
