Evangeline Lilly Attends Anti-Vaccine Rally
Washington, Jan 29: The ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ star Evangeline Lilly has revealed that she attended an anti-Covid vaccine mandate rally in Washington, DC, on January 23 to show her support to “bodily sovereignty”. Taking to Instagram on Friday, she wrote: “I was in DC this weekend to support bodily sovereignty while Canadian truckers were rallying for their cross-country, peaceful convoy in support of the same thing. The Marvel star said people should not be “forced to inject their body with anything, against their will, under threat”.

“This is not the way. This is not safe. This is not healthy. This is not love. I understand the world is in fear, but I don’t believe that answering fear with force will fix our problems.” “I was pro choice before COVID and I am still pro choice today,” she said adding hastags — #medicalfreedom, bodilyautonomy, bodilysovereighnty and defeatthemandatesdc. While some fans supported her opinion on vaccine mandate, several people have slammed her.
One of her fans commented: “So you feel the same way about mask mandates? Polio, Smallpox, and other vaccines? Actor Simu Liu said, “I lost my grandparents to COVID last year. They were still waiting for their vaccines. I’m fortunate to have been double-vaccinated and boosted when I got COVID 2 weeks ago. Felt like a cold. The media needs to stop spotlighting opinions that are not rooted in facts or science,” he said. According to CNN, this was the same event where anti-vaccine activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. invoked Nazi Germany and Anne Frank in a speech. However, the Canadian actress did not refer to Kennedy’s remarks in her post. This is not the first time that the actress has offended her fans with her comments. In 2020, she had to apologise for an Instagram post about taking her kids to a camp when the pandemic had hit North America with comments on how “some people value their lives over freedom, some people value freedom over their lives.”
