Abu Dhabi, March 28 : Actor Deepika Padukone was honoured with TIME100 Impact Awards for her contribution to cinema and being an active advocator of mental health. The ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actor was joined by her husband, actor Ranveer Singh for the event, which took place on Monday night in Dubai. Taking to Instagram, the ‘Padmaavat’ actor shared a couple of stories from her makeup session to arriving at the venue and wrote ‘simply loving the vibe’. Deepika looked resplendent in an embellished golden sari. She completed the look with a pearl choker and tear drop earrings. Ranveer wore a red sherwani with front button-up details and narrow pants. The actor also shared the picture of the trophy, with the caption ‘Gratitude’. In one of the videos, Deepika confessed that she was feeling nervous. In 2015, the actor had opened up about her battle with depression and the same year, launched a ‘LiveLoveLaugh Foundation’ to help people struggling with mental health issues and create awareness regarding it. The foundation also offers free psychiatric support, access to government-aided schemes and livelihood training to more than 1,800 individuals in four rural districts in the states of Karnataka, Orissa, and Tamil Nadu. On the work front, Deepika is shooting for ‘Pathaan’, opposite Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham. The movie is slated to hit the theatres on January 25.
