Mumbai, Jan 28 : As romance takes frontseat in Bollywood, with major celebrities tying the knot with their respective partners, one thing that stands out is the style of the lovely brides, especially their veils. Recently, Naagin fame actor Mouni Roy got married to Suraj Nambiar in Goa, and fans are in awe of her customised bridal veil, making her the latest name in the list of Bollywood brides, who opted for veil with special messages over simple ones. Mouni donned a South Indian bridal look, wearing a white silk saree during her Malayali wedding.
She wore a traditional red and golden border lehenga. The border of her veil was embroidered with “Aayushmati Bhava”. Patralekhaa Patralekhaa wore a beautiful red Sabyasachi saree and a red dupatta veil. Her embroidered dupatta had a Bengali message written on the border.
“Amar poran bhora bhalobasha aami tomaye somorpan korilam (I surrender my heartfelt love to you).” Deepika Padukone Deepika graced a traditional South Indian bridal look for her Konkani wedding. She wore a gold and red Kanjeevaram saree paired with a silk dupatta. The Sabyasachi bride donned a heavily embroidered lehenga with a matching dupatta for her Sindhi wedding.
The dupatta featured Hindu Mantra “Sada Saubhagyawati Bhava” all over it. Katrina Kaif Katrina Kaif chose a bridal lehenga with a personalised veil as an ode to Vicky Kaushal’s Punjabi roots.
