NIA Planning To File FIR Aagainst Me: Kejriwal
Bhatinda (Punjab), Feb 18 : AAP leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) was planning to file a FIR against him “in a day or two” following allegations by a former colleague that he was a terrorist who had conspired to break up the country. “The Prime Minister’s Office’s has got in touch with (Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh) Channi and asked him to file a complaint, on the basis of which the NIA will file a FIR,” Kejriwal told the media here. The AAP leader complained that both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and leaders of the main opposition Congress had made a joke of issues related to national security.
“It is strange that I reportedly told a poet 10 years back that we will break up this country into two pieces and that I will be the Prime Minister of one piece and he (former AAP colleague Kumar Vishwas) the Prime Minister of another. “Is this believable? This is comedy.” When journalists sought to know how he could be an “RSS man” as alleged by the Congress or “BJP’s B-team” as alleged by the Congress while being a “terrorist”, Kejriwal replied: “Precisely. In which case, everyone in RSS or Congress must also be terrorists.”
He said the reason Modi, the Congress, the BJP and Akali Dal leader Sukhbir Singh Badal had joined hands against him and the AAP was to prevent them from forming a government in Punjab. “The time has come to change the system,” he said. “All these parties are determined to defeat the AAP. They don’t want AAP to win and Bhagwant Mann to become the Chief Minister.” The AAP leader reiterated that an AAP government in Punjab will rebuild schools and the medical system as has been done in Delhi and provide 24-hour electricity and free electricity too.
“We will fight drugs and end corruption… So, the entire system has ganged up against us. But if all the corrupt parties can gang up, can’t the 3 crore people of Punjab unite against them?” He said he and his house had been raided in the past by Delhi Police, Income Tax department and Enforcement Directorate “and no one found out that I was a terrorist. It was when a poet (Vishwas) spoke up that the Prime Minister realized that I was a dangerous terrorist. What kind of a joke is this?”
