UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination To Be Held At Dharamsala On June 5: DC
Dharamshala, April 27: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), New Delhi is going to conduct the Civil Services Preliminary Examination on June 5, 2022.
Three examination centers have also been set up in Dharamshala for the written examination.
Deputy Commissioner of Kangra, Nipun Jindal said this while presiding over a review meeting in the NIC auditorium of the Deputy Commissioner’s office on Wednesday for the successful conduct of the examination.
Union Public Service Commission Deputy Secretary SK Gupta, Under Secretary Ujjwal Kumar and Deep Pant were specially present on this occasion.
In the meeting, UPSC officials gave necessary guidance regarding the conduct of examination in Dharamsala and informed about the responsibilities of the officers and employees in it. The Deputy Commissioner said that for conducting the examination, examination centers would be set up in Government Boys Senior Secondary School Dharamsala, Government Girls Senior Secondary School Dharamsala and Government Post Graduate College Dharamsala.
He said that officers and employees would be appointed for the successful conduct of the examination. The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments to make proper arrangements for electricity, drinking water and seating arrangement in the examination centers on time.
He said that the services of police personnel would also be taken for the security arrangements in the examination centres. Dr. Nipun Jindal thanked the Chairman of the Union Public Service Commission for setting up a center for conducting the preliminary examination of the Civil Services in Dharamsala.
He said that having the examination center at Kangra would bring great convenience to the candidates of the district as well as other adjoining districts and they would not have to travel far for the examination.
Union Public Service Commission Deputy Secretary SK Gupta said that on June 5, the examination will be conducted in two sessions following the rules of Covid. The first session will be held from 9.30 am to 11.30 am and the second session will be held from 2.30 to 4.30 pm. The candidates have to come to the examination center one hour before the commencement of the entrance examination for the examination.
In the meeting, Union Public Service Commission’s Under Secretary Ujjwal Kumar and Deep Pant also gave detailed information about the conduct of the examination. On this occasion, Superintendent of Police Khushal Sharma, AC Madan Kumar, SDM Shilpi Bekta, Technical Director and District Informatics Officer Akshay Mehta, PO DRDA Sonu Goyal, officers of Revenue, Education, Health and Postal Departments were also present.
