Thirty Thousand ‘Tirangas’ In Thirty Thousand Hands, A Unique Spectacle

It is not about the numbers but the enthusiasm that matters the most.

By any yardstick, it was visual spectacle at the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) where a mammoth gathering of thirty thousand students, exhibiting the pride of our Independence through waving of thirty thousand Tricolors, manifesting the joy of 75th independence day, nothing can beat that moment on August 14.22.

Under the slogan of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the spirit spun from Har Ghar Tiranga to ‘Har Hath Mein’ (in every hand) Tiranga, the sight can only be believed if seen in person.

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav

It was under the stewardship of its Founder Dr. Achyut Samanta, such an unique show of nationalism could be portrayed in real on that day.

Thirty thousand students from the largest tribal school of the world, Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), would participated in Har Ghar Tiranga campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and hoist it to mark the 75th year of India’s independence, on 14th August 2022.

It all reminded the struggle and dedication of freedom fighters. The dream of Mahatma Gandhi on tribal development was realized by Achyuta Samanta, the founder of KISS for the last 30 years. As a result, thousands of tribal students have access to mainstream education.
