Educationist Kunnumpurath Bijo Awarded PFHEA Of UK
Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 31 : Malayalee educationist Kunnumpurath Bijo hailing from Alappuzha in Kerala has been awarded the Principal Fellow for the Higher Education Authority (PFHEA) of UK. The PFHEA award is given to professionals who demonstrate they meet the criteria of Descriptor 4 of the UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF) for teaching and supporting learning in higher education, a release said on Monday. He has achieved the status of PFHEA in recognition of attainment against the UK Professional Standards Framework for teaching and learning support in higher education.
Kunnumpurath Bijo, CEO of IHM and IHNA, was selected for the award considering his contribution to the nursing education in Australia for the last 15 years. The contributions to the higher education through his two instituons, the Institute of Health and Management (IHM) and the Institute of Health and Nursing Australia (IHNA) were also considered for the international recognition. Both the institutions continued to maintain high score in various fields, including leadership, professional standard and quality education.
