Sensex Down Over 400 Pts
Mumbai, March 28: Extending losses for the fourth consecutive session on Monday the BSE Sensex dropped 406 points at 56,955 in opening session following heavy selling in Finance, Health Care, Industrials and IT stocks. The Nifty too slipped 116.80 points at 17,036.20. The Sensex registered days high and low at 57,494.36 and 56,883.11 points respectively. The Nifty registered days high and low at 17,196.60 and 17,017.55 points respectively.
The Mid Cap fell 0.88 per cent and Small Cap by 0.81 per cent. In 30 scrips, 5 advanced while 25 declined. The losers were HDFC by 2.07 per cent to Rs 2256.50, HDFC Bank by 1.68 per cent to Rs 1407.65, Nestle India by 1.56 per cent to Rs 16,909.50 and HCL Technology by 1.44 per cent to Rs 1163.35. The gainers were Maruti Suzuki by 0.55 per cent to Rs 7460, ITC by 0.55 per cent to Rs 254.70, Sun Pharma by 0.24 per cent to Rs 904.25 and Reliance Industries by 0.24 per cent to Rs 2602.95. UNI
