Mumbai, Jan 31: The BSE Sensex on Monday jumped 795 points to 57,995.53 as fresh buying was seen across the board. The Nifty too rose 249 points to 17,351.40. The Sensex registered the days high and low at 58,069.13 and 57,746.15 points respectively.
The Nifty registered the days high and low at 17,361.65 and 17,269.20 points respectively. The Mid Cap moved up 1.39 per cent and Small Cap by 1.08 per cent. In 30 scrips, 28 advanced while 2 declined.
The gainers were Tech Mahindra by 5.32 per cent to Rs 1485.55, Wipro by 3.45 per cent to Rs 571.25, Infosys by 3.23 per cent to Rs 1739.70, Dr Reddy’s Lab by 3.11 per cent to Rs 4349.20 and HCL Technology by 2.99 per cent to Rs 1112.80. The losers were IndusInd Bank by 2.71 per cent to Rs 879.10 and Kotak Bank by 1.49 per cent to Rs 1869.95.Â
