Mumbai, May 17: The Rupee on Tuesday slipped 12 paise to close at 77.56 against the USD on rising demand for US Dollar by bankers and importers, dealers at the Foreign Exchange said.
The local unit that dropped 32 paise at 77.76 in early trade, slightly improved during the day as compared to opening rate, but ended negative only at 77.56, sliding 12 paise as compared to its previous close.
