Mumbai, May 12: The Rupee on Thursday dropped 34 paise to 77.58 against the US Dollar in the opening session on rising demand for the greenback by bankers and importers, dealers at the Foreign Exchange said.
The Rupee slipped on a firm Dollar against other world currencies amid negative opening in equity market, dealers informed. The Rupee unit registered the days high and low at 77.50 and 77.60 respectively against the US Dollar, dealers added.
