New Portal To Be Launched For Grievance Redressal For Ex-Servicemen
New Delhi, Jan 14: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday announced setting up of a new portal for grievance redressal for ex-servicemen and their dependents.
The Defence Minister, in a tweet, said Raksha Pension Shikayat Nivaran Portalwill be set up to redress pension matters, including family pensions.
“I am happy to announce the setting up of Raksha Pension Shikayat Nivaran Portal designed to dedicatedly redress pension, including family pension-related grievances of ESM and their dependents for speedy redressal. The portal will enable to lodge grievances directly with DESW,” the defence minister said.
“The portal will help Lakhs of existing and future military pensioners. An application of the portal will auto-generate and forward SMS and email to the applicants on their registered number and email, intimating confirmation and tracking status,” the minister said.
He also said the Department of Ex-servicemen Welfare (DESW) has allotted Rs 320 crores to Armed Forces Flag Day Fund to clear all backlog of pending applications for welfare schemes especially education and marriage grants for widows and dependent children of ex-servicemen.
This will benefit 1,66,471 ex-servicemen, the mister added.
