Yogi Performs Rudrabhishek Seeking Peace In World
Gorakhpur, March 1: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath performed ‘Rudrabhishek’ at the Gorakhnath temple here, on the occasion of Mahashivratri on Tuesday. The 11 Acharyas (priests) of the temple, under the leadership of Arvind Tripathi and Acharya Ramanuja, sat to chant the religious mantras (hymns). The Rudrabhishek was performed with milk, mango juice, sugarcane juice, besides other fruit juices, between from 7 am to 9 am. After that, the havan was performed.
The Chief Minister prayed to Lord Shiva for the welfare, salvation, prosperity and peace of the whole world. He also wished people on the occasion through his official Twitter handle. After performing the rituals at Baba Gorakhnath temple, Adityanath went to the Samadhi Sthal of his Guru Mahant Avedyanath and took his blessings. The Chief Minister spent half an hour with the cows in the cowshed and the pet dog Gullu. He also performed the Rudrabhishek for public welfare near the Durga Shakti Peeth.
