Competition of Muruja & Jhoti, Odisha Utsav in Bengaluru

This year’s Odisha Utsav ushers in a different feel as the festival of a cultural reflections is being organised in Bengaluru where artisans can participate in the cujompetition of a typical traditional art called Jhoti and Muruja, made from rice flour and displayed on the floors outside and a spread of liquid flour on the walls of mud houses.

The organisers have invited entries for participants and have put the preconditions as follows.

1. Only Odia women living in Bengaluru are allow to participate in the competition.
2. The women living in Bangalore and willing to participate in the event can log on to: www.odishaculture.gov.in

4. The last date for receipt of applications has been extended to October 14, 2022.
5. Only the first 300 applicants shall be allowed to participate in the event.
6. The best ten (10) shall be selected and from among them there shall be winner.
7. The decision of the managing committee in choosing the winners shall be final and binding.
