Competition of Muruja & Jhoti, Odisha Utsav in Bengaluru
This year’s Odisha Utsav ushers in a different feel as the festival of a cultural reflections is being organised in Bengaluru where artisans can participate in the cujompetition of a typical traditional art called Jhoti and Muruja, made from rice flour and displayed on the floors outside and a spread of liquid flour on the walls of mud houses.
The organisers have invited entries for participants and have put the preconditions as follows.
- Only Odia women living in Bengaluru are allow to participate in the competition.
- The women living in Bangalore and willing to participate in the event can log on to:Â www.odishaculture.gov.in

- The last date for receipt of applications has been extended to October 14, 2022.
- Only the first 300 applicants shall be allowed to participate in the event.
- The best ten (10) shall be selected and from among them there shall be winner.
- The decision of the managing committee in choosing the winners shall be final and binding.
