Tata Motors Posts 74% Jump In Sales In April To 72,468 Units
Mumbai, May 1: Home-grown automaker, Tata Motors on Sunday said it clocked total vehicle sales of 72,468 units in April 2022, up 74% as compared to 41,729 units in the same month last year.
Total domestic sales in April, 2022 stood at 71,467, up 81% compared to 39,401 units in same month last year.
As per monthly sales data released by the company, total commercial vehicle sales rose 87% year-on-year to 30,838 in April, 2022 as compared to 16,515 in the same month last year.
Sales of commercial vehicles in domestic market surged 109% year-on-year to 29,880 in April this year as compared to 14,306 in the same month last year.
The company saw 66% jump in sales of passenger vehicles (PVs) in domestic market to 41,587 units in April, 2022 as compared to 25,095 in the same month last year.
Sales of electric vehicles (EVs) in April, 2022 rose 300% to 2,322 as compared to 581 in the same month last year.
