Meesho Crosses 6 Lakh Seller Registrations Since Apr 2021
Hyderabad, May 25: Meesho, India’s fastest growing internet commerce company, on Wednesday claimed that it has crossed 6 lakh seller registrations on the platform, recording a 7X increase since April 2021.
An increasing number of small businesses have joined Meesho in the past year as a result of the company’s industry-first initiatives such as zero commission and zero penalty.
Nearly half of these sellers operate only on Meesho, thereby making it the e-commerce platform of choice for small and medium businesses across the country.
Hyderabad witnessed an impressive 6X increase in the number of sellers on the platform along with a 7X rise in orders since May 2021. Top-selling categories include apparel, jewellery, home decor and furnishings, personal care & wellness, the company said in a release here.
Nearly 70 percent of all Meesho sellers are from tier 2+ cities like Amritsar, Rajkot and Tiruppur, among others. The company has been instrumental in transforming 1 lakh small business owners into lakhpatis and over 5,000 into crorepatis since January 2021..

Sellers on Meesho have seen their revenue triple since April 2021. Hyderabad being one of our key cities, we witnessed an 8 percent rise in the number of sellers on-boarded on our platform.
