Adani Group To Invest Over Rs. 10,000 Crore In Bengal
Kolkata, April 20: Adani group leader Gautam Adani on Wednesday announced investment of over Rs 10,000 crore in Bengal, which will create 20,000 to 25,000 new jobs.
Speaking at the Bengal Business Summit, Adani said Bengali is a shining example of women empowerment.
He said the femininity of Bengal has always been marked by bravery.
Adani also praised Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s Kanyashree project. “I am proud to be in Kolkata. Kolkata has always fascinated me,” Adani said.
“Gopal Krishna Gokhale said, Bengal thinks today what India thinks tomorrow. Very true. It has the power to effect the economy of Bengal,” he said.
Before the BGBS trade conference, Adani had a meeting with the Chief Minister. Industrialist Niranjan Hira Nandani’s company will invest Rs. 15,000 crore in Bengal.
Mamata Banerjee-led Bengal has shown the magic of 7.2 per cent overall growth when the whole world is in recession, Nandani added.
