Thunderstorm With Lightning Likely To Occur In South Coastal AP : Met
Amaravati/Hyderabad, Dec 29: Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning is likely to occur at isolated places in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh from December 31 to January 2, Meteorological Centre said on Wednesday.
In a bulletin here, it said that light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at one or two places or at few places or at isolated places in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the same period and in Telangana during the next 24 hours.
Light rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Rayalaseema from Thursday to Sunday, in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh in the next 48 hours, in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam during the next 24 hours, the bulletin said.
Dry weather is likely to prevail in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana from December 30 to January 2.
The Northeast monsoon has been weak in Rayalaseema during the last 24 hours.
Rain occurred at one or two places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and dry weather prevailed in Telangana during the same period.
The lowest minimum temperature of 15.2 degree Celsius, 17.6 degree Celsius and 16.5 degree Celsius was recorded at Hakimpet, Hyderabad in Telangana and Arogyavaram and Anantapur in Rayalaseema on the intervening night of Tuesday and today, the bulletin added.
