LOPAR over BoB likely to trigger cloudburst
Bhubaneswar : A Low Pressure Area has formed over Northwest adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal off North Andhra Pradesh south Odisha coasts under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over Northwest Bay of Bengal off West Bengal coast, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday.
Under the influence of the above system, fairly widespread to widespread rainfall activity with isolated heavy falls are very likely over Odisha, Andhra Pradesh on August 28 and 29; over Telangana from August 28 to 31; and over Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand on August 28 and 29.
As per IMD, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khordha, Jagatsinghpur, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Angul, Deogarh and Kandhamal.
