Heavy rains for Telangana; Low pressure lies over Coastal Odisha, adjoining NW Bay of Bengal
Hyderabad : The Low Pressure Area over Northwest and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal off south Odisha-north Andhra Pradesh coasts now lies over coastal Odisha and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal.
The associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 7.6 km above sea level tilting southwestwards with height. It is likely to move west northwestward during the next 48 hours, the Meteorological Centre said in a release here on Tuesday.
A north south trough runs from the cyclonic circulation associated with the Low Pressure Area over coastal Odisha and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal to north Tamilnadu and extends up to 1.5 km above sea level.
Southwest Monsoon has been active over Telangana.
As a result in Telangana state, heavy to very heavy rain likely to occur at isolated places in Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Karimnagar, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Nalgonda, Siddipet, Medak districts while heavy rain likely to occur at isolated places in Rajanna Sirsilla, Peddapally, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal (Rural),Warangal (Urban),Janagaon, Yadadri Bhuvangiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Kamareddy, Nagarkurnool districts in the state for next 48-hours.
The weather office warned Flash Flood Risk (FFR) for next 24 hours till 1130 hours on August 18
Due to occurrence of very Heavy rainfall , state expecting the Moderate to high risk in Few watersheds in the Bhadradri Kothagudem, Jayshankar Bhupalapalley, Mulugu ,Khammam, Nirmal, Nizamabad, and Kamareddy Districts.
Maximum and Minimum Temperatures are likely to be around 28 degrees Celsius and 22 degrees Celsius respectively.
