Vijay Hazare Trophy: PK Dhumal Congrats Himachali Players For Winning
Hamirpur, Dec 27: While congratulating the players of Himachal Pradesh for winning the Vijay Hazare Trophy by defeating the mighty Karnataka team, former HP Chief Minister and senior BJP leader, Prem Kumar Dhumal has said that those who work hard by turning a hobby into a passion often create history.
He said, “One does not like to play in childhood? But with the passage of time, in the growing age, some players become better by making themselves better in their game. Then it does not matter whether you belong to a small village, a small town, or a small state. But by winning the Vijay Hazare Trophy, the promising cricketers of HPCA have proved this point.
He said that these players have proved today that there was no dearth of talent in Himachal Pradesh if they get opportunities and facilities.
“I wish these children all the best for their future and hope that the day will come when these children will also win the Ranji Trophy and make their name in the Indian cricket team.
The former Chief Minister while encouraging the sportspersons and children said that this big country of 140 crore people in which Himachal Pradesh is a small state but this identity of being a small hill state cannot stop the talents of Himachal from moving forward.
“Today Himachal Pradesh is playing a leading role not only in sports but also in many other areas of the society, which is a matter of pride for the people of the state”, he said.
Inspiring the children and sportspersons, he said that the only and only way to move forward is to move towards one’s goal by working hard, by being disciplined with dedication.
He claimed that today there was no dearth of facilities and opportunities for sports and players in the country, but our country has given the best players like Major Dhyan Chand to the whole world even in the old times, who was known as the magician of hockey.
“Therefore, sportspersons and children should take advantage of these opportunities and facilities and pursue their lives and their sports so that they can make their parents proud of their region, the name of their state and country”, the BJP leader said.
