A total of 58,816 samples were tested in the state in the past 24 hours. The daily test positivity rate (TPR) now stands at 2.51%.

Meanwhile, another 21 persons suffering from Covid-19 in Odisha have succumbed to the disease, confirmed the Health & Family Welfare Department on Thursday.

2. A 72 years old Male of Bhadrak District who was also suffering from Hypertension.
3. A 76 years old Male of Bhadrak District who was also suffering from Hypertension, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
4. A 75 years old Male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Hypertension, Bronchial Asthma, Parkinsonism, Old Ischemic Stroke.
5. A 65 years old Male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Chronic Kidney Disease.
6. A 65 years old Male of Ganjam District.
7. A 82 years old Male of Ganjam District who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease, Hypertension.
8. A 10 Months old Male child of Kandhamal District.
9. A 71 years old Male of Sambalpur District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hepatitis B, Chronic Kidney Disease.
10. A 54 years old Female of Sundargarh District who was also suffering from Chronic Liver Disease.
11.A 45 years old Male of Sundargarh District who was also suffering from Hypertension.
12. A 67 years old Female of Sundargarh District.
13. A 47 years old Male of Sundargarh District who was also suffering from Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus & Chronic Liver Disease.
14. A 74 years old Male of Sundargarh District who was also suffering from Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus, Chronic Kidney Disease & Parkinson.
15. A 58 years old Female of Sundargarh District.
16. A 28 years old Male of Sundargarh District who was also suffering from Seizure Disorder.

The department further stated that this list does not reflect deaths occurring on a particular day. It gives details of past deaths for which the death audit process has been duly completed and the cause of death has been identified as due to Covid-19.
