Up Date: BCCI Chief Sourav Ganguly Haemodynamically Stable, Under Close Monitoring

Kolkata, Dec 28: BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, admitted to a private hospital after testing Covid-19 positive, is stable but under close monitoring, a medical bulletin said on Tuesday.

The former Team India captain received “Monoclonal Antibody Cocktail” therapy on Monday night itself and is currently “hemodynamically stable,” said the bulletin from Woodlands Hospital.

The Forty-nine-year-old president of the Board of Control for Cricket India had a mild fever on Sunday and a subsequent RT-PCR test found him infected with Coronavirus.

He was admitted on Monday night.

Ganguly had mild symptoms and was kept under close watch at the hospital.

His blood samples would be sent for genome sequencing to ascertain if he has contracted the new variant Omicron.

A medical board comprising Saroj Mondal, Saptarshi Basu and Soutik Panda in consultation with cardiac specialists Devi Shetti and Aftab Khan is closely monitoring Ganguly’s health status.
