Mars, Venus, Moon to arise in alignment today
Bengaluru, Jul 12 : The world is going to witness the great planetary conjunction when another celestial event will be visible in the skies on Tuesday and Wednesday as Mars and Venus will align with Moon. The two planets will align with the Moon and can be seen in the western horizon under clear weather conditions just after sunset.
A ‘conjunction’ happens when at least two celestial bodies appear to be very close to each other.
Mars and Venus are expected to be 0.5 degrees apart with the crescent Moon within four degrees of the two planets on Tuesday. The Bengaluru-based Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) said that the conjunction will also include the Earth’s moon coming close to within four degrees of the planets, which can be seen by the naked eye.
