Lakhimpur Incident : BJP govt trying to save MP’s son, alleges Sisodia

New Delhi : Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has alleged that the Uttar Pradesh government is trying to save the son of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra in Lakhimpur incident and said the government-led by Yogi Adityanath has turned UP into “a jungle raj”.
“The son of the union minister had crushed to death the farmers with his car and the UP government is trying to save him,” Sisodia alleged.
The farmers’ union and Opposition leaders have alleged that Mishra’s son ran over protesting farmers, which led to violence in Lakhimpur Kheri on Sunday.
Refuting the allegation, Ajay Misra and his son Ashish, however, claimed that protesters attacked the convoy and killed a driver and three others, including two BJP workers.
Meanwhile an FIR has been registered against Ashish Mishra and others in connection with the violence.

On Sunday eight people, including four farmers, were killed and several injured after a convoy of three SUVs, one allegedly being driven by minister’s son crushed farmers, while they were protesting the visit of state Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya.
The Dy CM also said, the UP government has imposed emergency in the state and not allowed the Opposition leaders to meet the Victim’s family’s members.
Criticizing the UP government for stopping AAP MP Sanjay Singh by UP police around 2.30 am, while he was going to Lakhimpur Kheri.
“The farmers were murdered and now MP Sanjay Singh ji, who is going to express condolences to his family, is standing by the top police and administration officials on the road overnight. These tears of the farmer’s family will be heavy, Yogi ji!’’ he said in a tweet.

Meanwhile, the party in a tweet said, “Aam Aadmi Party delegation led by APP leader Raghav Chadha along with Punjab leader of opposition to leave for Lakhimpur Kheri.”
