Koraput : Andhra Pradesh YSR Congress Party leaders celebrated the victory of their candidates over Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituencies (MPTC) and Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituencies (ZPTC) elections at disputed Kotia panchayat of Koraput district in Odisha.
According to sources the ZPTC and MPTC elections were held during April 2021. The election results could not be announced immediately as the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) moved against the Andhra Pradesh state election commissioner alleging violation of election rules.
The Opposition TDP was demanding to declare the election null and void and seeked re polling.
However, the Andhra Pradesh High court had on Thursday ordered that the election results be counted
