Paralakhemundi, Dec 14: As many as 30 people have been injured as a passenger bus turned turtle near Sebakpur village in Gajapati district late last night.
The bus was travelling from Balipadara village to Paralakhemundi and carrying 35 people of a bride’s family to attend the marriage function, informed sources.
The bus lost its balance and overturned, leaving thirty passengers injured.
The locals immediately informed the police about the incident. On being informed the police reached at the spot and started an investigation.
“The injured persons were rushed to Paralakhemundi District Headquarter Hospital (DHH) for immediate medical treatment. Further investigation in this matter is underway”, said a police official.
