Tata Project Limited to implement Sri Mandir Parikrama project in Puri

Bhubaneswar : The Tata Project Limited will now implement the Shri mandir Parikrama project in Puri.
The Odisha Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today approved the lowest turnkey tender of Tata Project Limited amounting to Rs 331.28 crore for the Sri mandir Parikrama project.
Briefing newsmen after the cabinet meeting Chief Secretary S C Mohapatra said the project is
being implemented under Augmentation of Basic Amenities and development of Heritage and Architecture (ABADHA) Scheme and targeted to be completed within a period of 18 months.
In another decision, the cabinet decided to provide 40 acres of land in Chandihat mouza under
Jatin Tahasil of Khordha district free of cost for establishment of Bagchi- Shri Shankar cancer
centre and research institute and Bagchi -Karunashraya Palliative care centre .
The two institutions would pay a token Rs one per annum towards the ground rent and cess.
The government also decided to remit the stamp duty and registration fee of Rs 2.92 crore for
the two institutions.
Mr Mohapatra said the cabinet approved a tender for renovation and restoration of upper Indravati right main canal under the Canal Lining and System Rehabilitation programme at a cost of Rs 148.12 crore.The project cost would be met out of state fund.
The project will give assured irrigation to 4235 hectares of cultivable command area and 1520 hectares in Upper Indravati right main canal extension in Kalahandi district.
The project would be completed in 24 months, Mr Mohapatra said.
