Malkangiri : In unfortunate incident, two minors met watery grave in a pond at Kamarguda village under Padia block of Malkangiri district.
The deceased has been identified as Anita Madakami( 3) and Ayush Kabasi.
Reportedly, the minors had gone to play near the pond 50 metres away from their houses. The duo slipped into the water and drowned.
The family members made a frantic search to trace both the children. Later, they found Anita and Ayush floating in the pond and took them to Padia Community Health Centre (CHC) where the doctors declared them brought dead.
Later, both the families registered a complaint at the Padia police station. Police registered two unnatural deaths and launched an investigation into the matter.
