POSCO Special judge acquits a Professor of Sambalpur University in a rape case due to lack of evidence

Sambalpur : A professor of Sambalpur University booked in a rape case inside the university campus in 2015 was acquitted on Friday due to lack of sufficient evidence.
The special judge POCSO cum ADJ acquitted the Professor after hearing the case for six long
years.
A professor of Sambalpur University had alleged that one of his colleagues in the campus raped
his minor daughter while she was alone in the home.
The accused professor was suspended after a case u/s 376 (A) read with POCSO was registered against him after the allegation.
