Mumbai, March 17: The BSE Sensex on Thursday spurted 803 points to open at 57,620.28 as buying was seen across the board. The Nifty too surged 232 points at 17,208.10. The Sensex registered the days high and low at 57,709.74 and 57,318.06 points respectively. The Nifty registered the days high and low at 17,228.85 and 17,175.75 points respectively.
The Mid Cap moved up 1.44 per cent and Small Cap rose by 1.23 per cent. All 30 scrips were positive. The gainers were Asian Paints by 3.40 per cent to Rs 3145, HDFC by 3.22 per cent to Rs 2362.05, Kotak Bank by 2.47 per cent to Rs 1804.80, Titan by 2.19 per cent to Rs 2643.50 and Axis Bank by 2.13 per cent to Rs 739.15.
