Bhubaneswar: Recalling the era of truth and reality, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik extended his greetings on Odia Journalism Day which is celebrated every year on August 4.
Taking to Twitter, Patnaik said, “Greetings to all on Odia Journalism Day. Today, Odisha’s first newspaper, Utkala Deepika, was published. The contribution of all those who have enriched Odia journalism with truthful and impartial news coverage is always memorable.
Journalism Day is celebrated every year on 4th August. On that day in 1866 the first Odia newspaper, Utkala Deepika was published.
