Mamita Murder Case: Police Recover Vehicles Used In Crime; BJP Shuts Down Bargarh
Odisha: BJP’s Bargarh district unit on Monday observed an eight-hour bandh in the region to mount further pressure on the government to oust MoS (Home) Dibya Shankar Mishra in the wake of his alleged complicity in the case. Apart from this, protesting party workers also slammed the state government and the police for delaying in taking noticeable action against the culprits involved in the custodial death of local youth named Gobinda Kumbhar last month.
The agitating BJP members also picketed at several key locations of Bargarh Town and blocked the national highway affecting vehicular communication to and from the town. Protesting Bjp members again demanded CBI probe into the incidents and warned to intensify the protests further in coming days. Bjp protests were staged at Patel Chowk in New Delhi demanding justice for mudered teacher Mamita, led by party national spokesperson Sambit Patra.
On the other hand in the latest development in Mamita murder case, the Bolangir Police on Monday seized the JCB machine and scooty used in the crime by Gobinda Sahu, the prime accused in the case. As per reports, both the vehicles were seized from Mahaling In Kalahandi district and brought to the Sindhekela Police Station for investigation. During the interrogation, Sahu admitted that he had used the JCB to bury the dead body of Mamita in the 10-feet deep pit that was dug before the murder on October 8 at Mahaling Stadium while he used the two-wheeler to bring tyres that were used to burn dead school teacher.
