Jagatsinghpur: The revenue inspector of Japa in Jagatsinghpur district identified as Samir Kumar Mallick was caught red-handed by vigilance authorities on the charges of gratification.
In a trap laid by Officials, Mallick was apprehended while accepting gratification of Rs 10,000 from the complainant in order to favour him in a mutation case in Ersamma Tahasil. The bribe money has been recovered from his possession.
Following this, a case has been registered and simultaneous searches were launched on properties of Mallick at 2 places here.
