Cracks found in wheels of Taladhwaja chariot of Lord Balavadra
Puri, Jul 16 : Cracks were noticed in the wheels of the Taladhwaja chariot of Lord Balabhadra during an inspection by the Rath construction monitoring committee headed by an Executive Engineer of PWD on Thursday.
The committee members examined the wheels, axles and other fittings of three chariots parked in front of Gundicha temple after the trinity entered into the gundicha temple.
They found two wheels of the Taladhwaja chariot of Balabhadra have developed cracks. The East Coast Railway(ECoR) technical team which follows the raths during pulling have used heavy-duty jugs while the carpenters and Blacksmiths replaced the wheels.
Before Dakshin Moda (giving South turn to chariots to park them at the exit gate of Gundicha temple for Return Car Festival scheduled on July 20 next, the engineers will inspect the chariots and conduct repairs if needed, sources said.
