Mayurbhanj: Local outfit Bhanja Sena has called for a 12-hour bandh today in Mayurbhanj’s Rairangpur over a 3-point charter of demands.
Bandh’s effect has been witnessed across the entire district as Sena activists blocked national highways and state highways by burning tyres. Vehicular traffic has come to a halt along the highways due to the blockade.
Appealing to the public to come forward and make the bandh a success, Sena activists took out a bike rally.
Due to the bandh call, educational institutions, shops, and business establishments remained shut in the district
However, emergency services like fire, hospital etc are allowed.
Notably, the shutdown which began at 6 am in the morning will continue till 6 pm.
