Bhubaneswar : With RTPCR lab being set up in all 30 districts, RTPCR test will be conducted in all districts of state. In addition, the oxygen liquid plant is also ready. The health department is also equipped for the third wave of Covid-19. Simultaneously, ECMO treatment will also be available in the state from August 15.
In Cuttack, patients will receive ECMO treatments for free. For this purpose, four ECMO machines have been tested in SCB medical college and hospital.Four machines will be used to treat post-Covid cases while other 3 will be available for Covid-19 patients. All necessary resources have been arranged to follow smooth functioning of the machines.
Another batch will go to Calcutta for human resource training. Patients with Covid-19 complications won’t have to rely on other states for treatment.
