Telangana Guv, CM express grief over Rosaiah’s Demise
Hyderabad: Telangana Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao were among the promiment leaders who have expressed grief and condolences on sad demise of former Governor of Tamil Nadu and Ex-Chief Minister of the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh Konijeti Rosaiah. Paying rich tributes to his memory, the Governor termed him as an iconic politician in the undivided Andhra Pradesh.
Dr. Soundararajan said that Mr. Rosaiah adhered to the ideals of highest order in politics and public life. She said “It is a great testimony to his unmatched acumen in administration that he presented the State Budget for a record number of 15 times. In his death, the country and Telugu States lost a legendary leader known for his authority on many subjects”, the Governor said and offered her deep condolences to the members of bereaved family.
Expressing sympathy over the death of Rosaiah, the Chief Minister recalled him as the one leader who brought laurels to the posts he held such as Finance Ministry. He also said that Rosaiah was known for his patience, gentleness and simplicity. He placed a wreath on the body of Rosaiah at the late leader’s residence and offered condolences to the members of the bereaved family.
Several ministers also paid their tributes to Rosaiah. TPCC President Revanth Reddy, MP, who is in Delhi to attend the ongoing winter session of Parliament is rushing back to the city to attend the funeral of former Chief Minister on Sunday.
