Sr Journo of Pioneer daily Gopikrishnan to receive ‘SV Pradeep Memorial Media Award’
Thiruvananthapuram: Pioneer Daily Special Correspondent J. Gopikrishnan will receive the ‘SV Pradeep Memorial Media Award’, instituted by Bharat Live Internet Protocol Television Private Limited.
The award will be presented to Gopikrishnan at a function to be held at Bharat Bhavan in Thycaud on December 18 by actor and BJP MP Suresh Gopi, sources said here on Friday.
The award was named after Executive Editor of Bharat Live Ytube channel SV Pradeep, who was killed in a hit-and-run road incident at Karakkamandapam in the city on December 14, 2020 under mysterious circumstances.
The award has been given taking into account of Delhi-based Senior Journalist J Gopikrishnan’s contribution in the field of media and his series of reports on various scams including the 2G case in the country. He was also awarded the Ramnath Goenka Journalist of the Year Award in 2009.
