Kanpur: President Ram Nath Kovind reached the city here on Wednesday on a 2-day visit. President Kovind was received by UP Governor Anandiben Patel and CM Yogi Adityanath at the Civil Aerodrome.
The President reached Mehrwan Singh Purwa village where he attended the birth centenary celebrations of SP leader Harmohan Singh Yadav. After attending the celebrations, he is likely to attend the centenary year long program which will be organized at HBTU on Thursday.
Kanpur Police has deployed 10 IPS officers, 12 ADCPs, 25 DSPs, 70 Inspector, 200 SI, 1200 constable, and 5 company PAC for the security of the President.
