Jaunpur: Samajwadi Party president and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday said that petrol and diesel companies have earned 600 times profit in the last three months.
Talking to the media personnel on the second day of his ‘Vijay Rath Yatra’ while attacking the state government, Akhilesh said that promises made by the Bhartiya Janata Party in the last four and half years and its advertisements are ‘lie’.
“People want change. SP’s yatra is getting support of the people. We are hopeful that the people will bring wholesome change. We are getting the Indications,” he added.
He said that the people want to ask the BJP how many promises made in its election manifesto have been fulfilled. “In reality, while price rise has double, income of the people has been reduced to half,” he said.
The SP president said that it was for the first time that a farmer was killed. The government must conduct an inquiry into the matter and take stern action against the guilty BJP men. He said that to ensure participation of all after the formation of the SP government, caste census will be done within three months.
