Hamirpur suffers loss of Rs 5.75 cr in last 24 hours due to rains
Hamirpur : HP’s Hamirpur district has suffered a loss of Rs 5.75 cr due to the ongoing monsoon rains during the last twenty-four hours and the maximum loss of Rs 4.58 crores was suffered by the Department of Public works.
Stating this here today, Deputy Commissioner, Debasweta Banik said that the department of Jal shakti(water) has suffered a loss of 1.15 crore rupees. Besides, one house and two cow sheds have also been damaged badly.
With this, the total loss in the district since the starting of monsoon season had crossed forty three crore rupees.
Debashweta Banik said that on Wednesday, almost all areas of Hamirpur district received heavy rains and that had caused considerable damage due to landslides and water logging at some places.
The Deputy Commissioner said that instructions had already been issued to the officers and employees to send damage reports from their respective areas immediately.
She said that the District Disaster Management Authority was getting the report of damage from these officers and employees immediately and immediate relief was being ensured to the affected people.
