Man Commits Suicide After Killing Wife In Sundargarh, Suspected Family Feud

 In a shocking case, a suspected family dispute ended in tragedy when a man died by suicide after allegedly killing his wife  in Sundargarh district on Wednesday.

The accused has been identified as Hemant Jaksena of Damkuda village.

According to reports, the incident took place on Wednesday. The man allegedly killed his wife in a fit of rage due to a family quarrel.

Although the exact reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained, police suspect that it was a fall-out of a bitter domestic feud.

As per reports, Hemanta had tied the nuptial knot with his wife a year ago. After the marriage, Hemanta had gone outside the State to earn a living as a migrant worker. He returned home on Holi. The couple started living separately following a feud with Hemanta’s family members.

Both of them used to work in the nearby brick kiln to earn their living. They also went there to work last evening. However, their bodies were recovered from their house the next morning.

As per the primary investigation, Hemanta and his wife had an altercation in the evening. During the argument, Hemanta lost his cool and in a fit of rage smothered his wife to death with the help of a pillow. He then hanged himself with the ceiling of the house.

On being informed, police reached the spot and recovered the bodies for post-mortem. Further investigation is underway in this regard.
